When I first started out, I used tape since it was easier to separate the strings on a table. However over the years I've developed some back pain so I prefer using a clip board. A clip board can be angled in a way where you can look forwards at your work, and not down at your work, allowing you to lean back against a chair or something.

I use a clipboard with binder clips on the sides to help keep strings from getting in the way when I don’t need them

I use a safety pin on a pillow and it stays really secure and you can knot anywhere you like 😉

I have a small plastic storage bucket like this one... {https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-16229012-Titanium-Inserts-12-Pack/dp/B00IPEFUMG}. I set it down so the short edges are parallel to my arms, then I use a large binder clip and place the bracelet, or its loop if it is new, in theclip and pinch it over the far long edge and put the rear "leg" of the clip down for stability. It is also helpful to weight the tote down with a waterbottle (and a snack..?) I have tried pinning, taping, and everything else, I find that this way holds it best and keeps the pattern straight------------C------------- | b | C - clip | b | b - bracelet | | --------------------------- ME |

I always tape my bracelets to an old book. If there is a loop, I tear the piece of tape in half or thirds to secure the loop, then put a piece of tape on top of the bottom of the bracelet and move that piece down as I go.

i just tie them to a hair tie that i put around my water bottle. that way, i can wrap the extra string around the water bottle and carry it with me. if you’re interested, look at my account and you’ll see what i mean under “photos”. (also i’m accepting all friend requests!!)

I always use a clipboard, but if the bracelet/keychain is too big, then I’ll use tape.

i mainly use my clipboard for alphas but instead of using the regular clip i'll use binder clips as i feel those are a bit more sturdy. for normal patterns, i'll normally start the loop for triangle end with tape then move over to a safety pin on a pillow 😊

Hi! I really like to use a clipboard I find it works best for me but I have used lots of different things to hold down my bracelets. I find that clipboards keep them straight and holds them in place and make it so they don't move around as much. 😄

I have been able to use a clipboard successfully. Clipboards have been great. I don't use the ones that are like hollow in the clip. I use the ones where the entire clip is metal and it is able to hold the bracelet down.
