Personally I just use the container I hold my thread in and tape it down every so often with Scotch tape. Hope this helps! 🙂

you can use a water bottle with a carabiner or have a clipboard with slits cut into the bottom to hold strings if you're attempting a complicated pattern

I use a clipboard, but I have seen people use a safety pin on a pillow or something soft they can use when sitting on the couch and stuff.

If you take some cardboard cut a slit at the top and slits at the bottom for strings, it makes it really easy!

Tbh i've seen a bunch of different methods. Personally, I prefer a cork board and thumbtacks. I had a leftover cork board from a craft and I have been using this method for roughly 2 years. A lot of people use tape on a table, and I do that for my alphas, but for traditional patterns I almost always use a cork board. Some of my friends use a clipboard, some use a safety pin, the possiblities are endless, provide they work for you!

i use a clipboard to hold down my loop, then as i knot further and further, i begin to use a combination of painters and scotch tape. For further protection, when i lay a piece of tape horizontally over my bracelet, i lay a long piece. Then, on the horizontal tape, i put a vertical piece of tape on each side. I find this really, really, helps. It makes knotting much easier, because i hate when i go to tie a knot and the whole bracelet lifts. This really helps prevent that. If you need more of an explanation I’d be happy to do you a photo over Instagram!! ❤︎

Whenever I do something really simple with only 14 or so strings, I make it on my water-bottle, tying a larks head knot around the strap (did that make sense?). Whenever I make anything bigger or more complicated I tend to just tape it down on the table.

I typically use a clipboard, tape, or sometimes my storage container because it holds my bracelet when i close it so I can work on it 🙂

@Lina99999 I usually use duck tape and tape the bracelet down to my desk. When I make a loop I pin the bracelet to my jeans. Clipboards also work pretty good, the only thing about using a clipboard is that you have to be carful not to pull to hard or the bracelet usually comes out.
