You could get a clipboard or something similar (I use a sturdy cutting mat) and make your bracelets on a bed or a couch. But anyway it's necessary to take breaks, I usually knot in sessions no longer than 40-50 minutes, otherwise my whole body goes numb.

@itarosky yeah i knot on my bed/chair usually with a pillow and a safety pin. i find myself leaning over too much. i tried clipboards and didn't find them helpful, maybe i could try a binder clip

I tie my bracelet to my knee, and put my foot up on something so that I can knot without bending over, and I never get back pain

i try to get up and stretch my upper back every so often when working on bracelets!! every hour or so (usually episode breaks!) i’ll swing my arms around to stretch out my shoulders. otherwise you just kinda gotta stay aware of how you’re sitting and try not to slouch.

@LuckyJinks yeah stretching is important! i usually stretch and not work for more than like 20-30 minutes at a time, because my attention span is kinda bad 😭 i think my back is just done for because of all the slouching i do,,, it’s hard to correct it once it’s so far gone

Try making your bracelets somewhere you can lay down on your stomach and still knot correctly?

My trick is to add pillows to support my back

I usually have a pencil with the start of the bracelet attached and I hold the pencil with my knees I lay down lol

I usually knot on my bed or on a couch with the bracelet attached to a pillow with a safety pin, and then to avoid bending over as much, I rest my back on the headboard/wall/back rest and bring my knees up so I can see the bracelet better and so it’s leveled enough. I also recently got a pair of reading glasses which has also helped me see the bracelet clearer, and so I don’t break my back trying to look at it 😭

I use my knot board and sit criss-crossed with my board in between the spot in my lower legs. Bonus if you sit up against something like a wall or chair
