Hi! I just made a pretty big alpha pattern, and I didn’t use the clean back technique (so it looks pretty messy in the back). I also used the flat alpha technique but it’s still bumpy from the strings crossing over on the back side if that makes sense. I was thinking of cutting all the the strings that are crossed and tied over in the back but I don’t know if that will work. If anyone has any tips to fix it pls let me know! Thank you! |

Put some glue or nail polish on the back where the sections of strings start and end. Then you can cut the strings in the back.

You can just cut them. They shouldn't come undone especially if you used the flat alpha technique. No need for glue or nail polish.

that's what happened to me with pattern #50618 with the sun so I just cut the string on the back of the sun it might look weird but I think that its worth it and so the suns not poking out and I don't use glue or clear nail polish and I have no problems with my bracelets Kinsey b and Masha Knots don't either so I wouldn't use it Kinsey b said to not because it just makes it feel weird but hope this is helpful if ur confused then sorry trying to explain it as well as I can so if u have any questions feel free to ask 😊

@halokiwi I ALWAYS use some type of glue on the back of my alphas, when I just cut the strings on pattern #102170 it the ends showed on the front and it even started to come apart in places and left a big hole
