how do y’all change colors like on alphas so seamlessly? like i’ve seen some people’s pics compared to mine and they look SO MUCH better. i know part of it is to practice a lot and i’ve been on a slump for like a year and i’m getting back in.. but like when you’re done with the pattern how do you make the extra strings not be seen? if that makes sense 😭

I recommend watching a tutorial on YouTube. I learnt from this video https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=C-TNzvNGxAM

@banankage thank you!! this did help a lot i was just wondering like how you start the color change like when you’re switching colors for the first time when ur putting on the string if that makes sense 😭 like in tht video she had already started the color change so i didn’t get to see how you switch colors sorry i’m so bad at explaining 😭😭

Like attaching a new string? (I hope I’m right this time lmao) I can’t find a video on it but (ima TRY to explain) usually what I do is that I tape the end of the string I wanna use (as my leading string) I tape it to my table and just do a normal knot on the first base string and from there I can just go on knotting. If I want to do a color switch I just do the same but knot it on the base string that I need (doing the flat alpha method) I really hope that’s what you asked abt🥲 (tried my best)

I like to pull the string so you can’t see it in between the knots after I use the flat alpha technique. There is also a tutorial by @2006_Mandy that explains a different technique that shows less string.
