hi, guys. so i'm interested in making keychains. do any of you know the, even approximately, maximum number of base strings that can fit on a 1 inch D-ring? thanks in advanced!

If you make a shaped start, you can fit any number on it.https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/130_shaped-keychain-tutorial/ I would recommend counting how many knots wide a one inch wide alpha bracelet is. This amount of base strings should fit without the keychain getting scrunched up. |

@hamin6 the MOST I was personally able to fit was 22 base strings. It is *slightly* scrunched. You can see this as the raccoon keychain on my profile for reference. I would stick to under 20 base strings, as even with the 22 I had to constantly adjust my work to make it look less scrunch-y.

I can fit 20 base strings (I use aunt Lydia's crochet thread size 10 or loops ans threads)
