Forward, Backward Knots

Hey all, I have been trying the straight edge technique for normal bracelets , but my left string with backward forward knots turns out really good and you can't see the edge string, but my right string that I do the forward backward knot on isn't clean and you can see the edge string in between the coloured string. I have tried tension changing, holding the string at a different angle - rewatched several tutorials to ensure I am doing my knots properly which I am. HELP! - thank you |

When you do the edge, on the left side, pull the leading string slightly to the right to make sure that the knot is facing the right direction and vice versa for the right side. Hope this helps!

I've looked through your most recent photos and it isn't that bad, don't worry! I recommend just to practice more your knots, and try to have the same tension. Hope it helps a little, and good luck, you got this! 💖 😊

Try pushing your knots up with your fingers. I have the same problem but this should help. 🙂

Once you make the knot, try to maneuver it with your fingers to get it the way you want. Also, when tying the knot, use the leading string to help guide the knot in the direction you want! Hope this helps! 🙂
