I use a board my husband made me with a large binder clip unless it’s a small let pattern then I use a smaller binder clip lol I also have few long chip clips or clips that came off baby clothes hangers. The hangers are the ones for a full outfit that holds the pants or skirt. When I don’t need them anymore I have my husband snap the clips off for me to use and I love these because they are but longer then the binder clips so I can use them to hold more of the bracelet without the bending or curling. Sometimes I will use both a binder clip at the top then as it gets longer I will use the other clips along the sides to hold it down ..

What i love to do is I have a notebook with a pretty thick peice of cardboard on the back and I tape it using packing tape and like sandwich the string between 2 pieces of tape with the sticky sides against each other and then tape that to the notebook and carry it with me

A clipboard, or safety pin the bracelet to either your pants or couch if you have a softball enough working area. I prefer the clipboard though because it’s much more secure and easier to work with

Tying the ends to the handle of my water bottle works very well for me, and that way I can stay hydrated

I have a mini clip board i bought on amazon. Its great because its more easy to bring places and takes up less space. Make sure to find one with one of the (idk what there actually called lol 😊 ) ones with the traditional metal more triangularish clamps because they are much stronger and hold the bracelet more securly. They usually are on the wooden clipboards not the plastic ones.

I use a mason jar!! I stick the strings in between the lid parts and twist it tight. That works best when I’m wearing shorts tho, the jar slips around in sweatpants. So my alternative is to braid the end that I’m working on and stick a keychain clip through the braid and clip it to a zipper!

I also pull my projects to hard for tape to work for me. I even tried duct tape and it wouldn’t work lol. But with the mason jar, you also have a built in storage area for either scrap floss, WIP or whatever you need!!

i sometimes use a pin to pin it down to the table when im making normal bracelets, sometimes i do need to put a bit of tape on the pin so it doesn’t get loose and this only works if you don’t care about your desk getting little holes in it

As well as using a clipboard (i use a plastic crafts one with a wooden back so metal doesnt dig into the loops) i tape along as i go onto the clipboard with is very helpful! i also do something (rarely) which is a bit unusual but i tie the loop around the handle of my water bottle..and then cut out the loop and braid when the bracelet is done

I use my water bottle. I have an Owala so i can either hook it onto the clicky loop or click the loop bit down on top of my start and it holds it in place. Plus when my water bottles full it keeps it heavy enough i have no problem. When doing alphas with hooks, I made a loop that I can take off and on for washing and i click my keychain onto it.Plus it helps remind me to stay hydrated

I tape mine to my thread boxes on top of the table. Whatever you do don't tape it to the old leather couch like I did a few years ago. There was a huge white square where the tape took off the fake leather. |
