The ones off ebay, amazon etc tend to have lower quality than ones you buy in the shops, although they are cheaper. Anchor threads are v. good quality but expensive.

I buy nylon string at pretty much any mexican store. The nylon string is cheaper, and more sturdy

My favorite embroidery floss for knotting alpha bracelets is DMC Perle #5 (It's strong and it also has a nice sheen to it). The best prices I've found come from 123stitch (if you want the colors numbers with names, I like to use herrschners) If you are looking for something a little cheaper, there are sets sold on amazon & ebay (I recommend looking for the woven-looking threads).But then for 6 strand, I find DMC to by too expensive, so I like to buy them from ebay or amazon, depending on bids. Also, if you'd like to have a sampler of DMC colors, you can get that (6 strand) from ebay. I hope that helps! 😄 |

I always buy mines from walmart they got brights and neons very cheaply for at least three dollars with a good amount of strands (three white, three black, and two of each other colors) they also have a bigger pack with more colors for almost five dollars?😛

Walmart is a really good place to go for strong if you live in a small town where there's nothing else. They keep it near the fabric with the yarn!
