What type of thread do they usually use?

I usually use hemp thread but my fingers hurt a lot when knotting too much. Does anyone else use this thread or what thread do they use? It is very expensive?

Most people use embroidery floss. It depends on the brand, but you can get packs at your local craft store or on Amazon and theyโre usually good quality and work fine. Some people prefer DMC because of the texture and color range, but itโs a little pricier.
