Has anyone attempted a lanyard before? If so how? Because in my head it’s essentially a long key chain joined at the ends, it would even use the same clip. If that makes sense I just don’t know how to join the ends |

I've never attempted something like that before, but how I think it would work is-1.) Create pattern to desired length, using a keyring 2.) When pattern is complete, tie the ends to the keyring with beginning strings 3.)cut off excess |

Ok thank you! I was thinking of tying one end straight on the clip and sewing the other end to it at the end of the pattern |

I made a little "wristlet", basically a mini lanyard, of pattern #116214. Super easy:1. Make a teardrop loop onto a keyring 2. Make whatever pattern to desired length, keeping in mind it has to double over 3. Make a triangle end. 4. Trim and tuck loose ends between the two halves (so they're sandwiched between the triangle end and the very beginning of the teardrop loop) 5. Sew a little triangle where the two ends meet. I sort of lined up the holes between knots as best I could to help keep the lanyard straight. I hope that all makes sense! |
