How do I keep my edges straight WITHOUT using the straight edges technique?!

Are you talking about normals or alphas or both?

Don't pull the bracelet to the right or left while knotting, but straight down.Secure the bracelet so it can't move around a lot. Secure it close to where you are knotting, so that you are not putting stress on the complete bracelet all the time. Knotting row by row instead of segment knotting can be beneficial for straighter edges, but it will also take longer. |

I use the straight edge alpha technique but my alphas always start off skinny and get wider as I go, any tips to help?

@Crafty_10 there might be an issue with your colour switches. I recommend using the flat alpha technique. I also recommend using leading strings that all have the same thickness.

@Crafty_10 u might be using more force to tie ur knots earlier in the bracelet but then releasing that into looser knots as you go. this will fix itself with time, but u can speed it up by making a conscious effort to keep your knot tension consistent.
