How long does the length of the thread should be

Roughly half a wingspans length per string your bracelet requires, if for example your pattern uses more white than another colour then add afew inches to that string!

For normals, I recommend each string is a meter in length, or around 40 inches. I personally like having extra long strings so I'll usually add a few more inches for good measure, but a meter per string is usually more than enough to make a 6 inch bracelet, with a loop, and ties.
