I'm making a bookmark as a gift for the first time and I was wondering why do y'all put on the back to make it sturdier ? I heard leather but I was looking for a vegan option... I bought cross stitch fabric as anyone tried it before ?

I think alphas are pretty sturdy on their own. You don't really need to put anything on the back.I know some people use felt. |

I think certain online stores like Etsy have faux leather. I think bracelets look nice with leather or faux leather, but also, the added material could possibly bend the pages of your books too much, because it will really thicken your bookmarks.If you're trying to cover the back of your alphas, maybe you could try something thinner, like a dark colored cotton fabric perhaps? |
