not sure if this is the right forum for this but i’m not sure where else it would goi was wondering what everyone else does with their leftover string scraps after you make heaps of bracelets? i crochet and so sometimes i’ll make a mini stuffed toy and use them as stuffing, but i have way too many scraps leftover and wanted to do something with them! i thought of getting a cute little jar and putting them in like rainbow order in the jar, but i’m not sure yet. what do you do with your string scraps? 🙂 |

i always save mine for alpha patterns that have a little bit of that color! you could also embroider depending on how much thread there is

I have seen people use them in alphas to make a cool multicolor bracelet. I also believe I have seen Masha Knots do a couple tutorials on bracelets just for scrap threads!

I always put the rest of my scraps into a little baggy. I also like others have said, i like to create a bracelet with them just to have all of my different colors in it. 🥰

I could try to make decorative leaves, take a double rope for the center (have a certain length to hang on the wall later) and add the pieces with flat knots (one rope will make a loop on the other), then brush the ends leftovers and trim to desired shape in the same way you could search for "macramé patchwork sheet" and there you will surely have a decent tutorial haha

I make swirl shaped keychains from my scraps! They are very fun to make, since it's knotted in a slightly different way and I love the effect it gives.I found a youtube video explaining how to make them: https://youtu.be/ZTWVkHViTao Making the loop is kind of hard, but you'll get the hang of it after a few tries and find out what works for you 😇 |

I use a lot of my scraps as the edge strings when I do the straightedge technique. They only need to be as long as the finished bracelet, and you don't see them anyway, so the color doesn't matter much.
