I already use the flat alpha technique, but i hate the way the back looks… I found some tutorials on hidden strings but i’m not there yet ! Do you cut your strings ? Do you keep them all the way to the end ? Do you “tuck” them in ? Any tips ? |

i don’t make many alphas, but i have seen a few different techniques just from following people on instagram. my favourite i’ve seen that i want to try is some people sew a strip of fabric to the back, sewing using the same thread as the leading strings through the sides of the each of the edge knots so you can’t even tell from the front, and then the back looks super professional and i imagine feels better to wear. the other option i’ve seen is to still use a strip of fabric but just hot glue gun it to the back, doesn’t look quite as professional but it’s way easier than stitching 80-odd rows of edge knots on both sides, especially if you don’t have much sewing experience 🙂
