I’m trying to do a loop with two triangles at the beginning but at each side I have 9 strings so if I make that in half it would be 5 on one side and 4 on the other. How do I make the triangle?

It'll still work out as you would normally do it, it may just be mildly uneven but may not even be noticable

So would you do 5 strings in the inside of the loop or on the outside?

If you are making an alpha, I usually add an extra string (of the color I knot with first) so both sides can be even and the use the extra string to start knotting. If you are making a normal bracelet I would have the extra string on the inside of the loop or you could add an extra string and then cut it off when you start your pattern.

If you're doing the Triangle Ends with Alpha's all you need to do is have the odd string in the middle... For example: If the pattern is 15 strings, you separate them as you normally would with 7 on one side, 7 on the other (to get 14) then the remaining 1 string (the 15th) stays in the middle between the two sections and you knot as normal. 🙂
