i was asked to make a dog collar using alpha technique but im not sure if thats a good idea tbh 🤔has anyone taken on a similar project before and how did it go? the dog in question is large-sized, the collar wont be functional obviously only decorative and my alphas are quite stiff and dont bend easily. i gifted the owner of the dog one of my alpha keychains and he said the stiffness would be perfect for a collar but idk |

It’s perfectly possibly too make a pet collar with both alpha and normal patterns. You just need to get the right clips/fastening ends for them. For dogs, you can even make them like mini belts. I’ve made collars for cats using normal patterns and the self-breaking collar clasps that’s recommended for cats

@reito you’re welcome. Added tip: pick/plan patterns that fit the width of the maximum number of strings you can comfortable fit on the fastening of your choice.

I just wanted to make a note here if anyone were to see this intending to make a cat collar. Cats should have a quick release clasp at the front. Being very active (jumping, climbing, ect.) this allows them to get free if ever stuck on something. Possibly even saving their life. 🙂
