How to make words with alphabetical patterns?

Hi! I saw a few alphabetical patterns I liked, and I wanted to use the fonts in patterns for me to give as gifts, i just didn't know if there's a way to copy/paste the letters to make a pattern with the full words I want, or do I have to recreate every letter by hand?

From my knowledge you have to recreate the letters by hand but I’m not an expert.

I would take a screenshot of the pattern (the one with the squares not the knots) and then upload it into a photo-editing app, like Canva - and from there I can crop and copy/paste the letters i need and see how they line up 😊
