I believe that MashaKnots has a video on this topic. I'm not sure if the sewing is visible in the video, but you would just sew it together close to the edge. If you are unsure how to sew, I am sure that there are videos about it on YouTube.

Hi! I made a keychain using this method and I just glued the 2 sides together and it worked really well. I used contact adhesive and just clipped the 2 sides together whilst it was drying. Hope that this helps! The picture is on my profile. It is pattern #110425

You can also just sew the edges together, preferably with the same embroidery thread you used for the edges so that it doesn’t stand out :]
