hey everyone!the title says it all: i wanna start incorporating glass beads in bracelets like flower chains #86661 #76616 some micromacrame stuff on on braceletbook etc i've never worked with glass beads before so i'm a bit confused by all the different sizes 🤔 my question for those of you who have experience with beads: which sizes are okay to use with embroidery floss? especially if i want to thread more than one strand of floss through a bead. thanks! |

I've only made a few bracelets with beads so I don't know about all the sizes but I have some size 8 seed beads that work well with 2 strands of embroidery floss. What helps a lot is using a thin piece of wire folded in half to help thread the beads on the string |

@goldflower thank you for letting me know! i've gone through your photos and i absolutely love the bracelets you've made 😍i have some embroidery needles so i thought to use that to thread the beads, but using wire is a great idea for those who don't have a needle! |

@reito My experience with glass beads in bracelets is that they are kind of heavy for the bracelet I would say using seed beads. Hope this helps! 🙂

@onaipdance oh i thought these were interchangeble terms! english is my second language and sometimes it's hard to translate terms from my native language 😊thanks for the tip! i'll keep it in mind to pay attention to the material of the beads when getting supplies! |
