Hey guys! I'm calling on all the crocheting folks for this one! So, I just learned how to crochet and i'm pretty confident in my skills. I had a wild thought, that I could take a larger alpha pattern (my alpha patterns for example), and crochet it into a large blanket type thing. IS THIS POSSIBLE AND IF SO, HOW?! If anyone has tips or tutorials or anything I would greatly appreciate it!!

Yes, I think there are different ways you can go about it. You could for example try something called tapestry crochet. You could also try to do it like a Patchwork blanket.

OHHHHHH. I think I might be able to help. I crochet a ton of alpha patterns and I am going to make them into a blanket. Anyway, I pick an alpha with only a few colors so I can work with one color while crocheting the other. Then what I do is I have every knot be one single crochet (American term) so if it is a 38 by 64 pattern. I will either have 38 stitches and 64 rows or 64 stitches and 38 rows. It is up to you. I do both, also if you want you can look at my pictures to see what I’m talking about if I’m not making any sense. Let me know if this help

Or, I just thought of this, I guess you could do a corner to corner thing. It would be super big though, like even small alphas would be big. But if you wanted to you could

@Meghan_J24 Absolutely you can crochet an alpha or even a normal pattern. I agree with halokiwi that the tapestry crochet would probably work best. You can also change color and then drop it if you are just doing small patches of a color.
