Hey everyone <3 so, i've seen a lot of people say their neck/back pains have lessened by knotting in bed, so i was wondering how exactly i should do that? i know i should clip my bracelet on a clipboard, but how do you keep the different colors in place? i feel like for my current alpha, the six colors would slide down a lot when i'm not using them 😭 thank you in advance!!

I usually sit cross-legged with the clipboard laying right in front of me on the bed. I rarely do alphas but when I do the unused leading strings lay on the left and the right of the clipboard. So far I never hat any issues with the leading strings getting tangled or going places I don't want them to go on the bed.

I also sometimes work on bracelets on my bed with my back leaned against the wall and my legs bent so the clipboard can lay on my thighs. But I don't think this would work well for alphas.

I do try and sit upright as much as possible so I can rest my clipboard on my thighs because I do tend to get neck pain if I'm hunched over. I use pillows to make sure I'm as comfortable as possible. I also put the strings that I'm not using on the top of the clipboard bring them all the way to the top right next to where the actual clip is and the string normally hangs from the top of the clipboard but it's not in your way while knotting. I hope that makes sense.

This is a bit hard to explain but I'll try, I just put them on the upper edge of the clipboard, and the lightly press on them with my folded legs. So they like hang on the top...
Another thing you could do is instead of a clipboard, take a peice of cardboard or any old hardcover notebook and cut some slits on the upper edge where you can rest the strings. You could do this with a clipboard but they're hard to cut through and also it might ruin them...

Thank you all for the help! I tried putting my strings on the pillow as I knotted and it didn't get disorganized or messy at all. My back pain is free now thank yall so much 😄

I sit up against the headboard on my bed and have pillows behind my back. I sit my clipboard between my knees and usually that helps. I usually knot at my desk though, but when I do knot at my bed it relieves my back pain.
