How can i lock the thread to the ring of my keychain? I want to do a normal. With the way that i know i can do only chevron

The best way I can think of is purposely starting your knotted loop, adding the keyring/ d ring/ keychain clip into the pattern, then knotting your pattern with triangle/ teardrop start with it enclosed. I've done that for years and it works well! If you need a simpler beginner start (but not as tidy), tie your strings in a half hitch knot directly onto your keyring/ d ring/ keychain clip, starting with the center color, then working outward with the next colors in your pattern from the middle out. this works well for patterns with even strings like arrowheads and chevrons.Another suggestion is braid your start, knot it around the keyring/ d ring/ key chain and gluing it shut. My house keys have an alpha I set up this way and is holding very well. |
