I'm trying to make my first alpha bracelet, and I don't know where to start. I watched a few videos, but none really gave any measurements. How long do the base strings need to be? If it matters I'm doing a 13 by 76 bracelet, or want to. Please help,

For me 10 rows are about are about 2cm. So 76 rows would be 7,6 x 2cm = 15,2cm for me. To that you have to add what you need for the ties and/or the loop.When you have some more experience with alphas, you can measure your own bracelets and use that for a more accurate calculation. |

I usually cut each individual base string between 25-50 cm. And just double it when doing a loop, so 50-100 cm. Ofc, I always have some left off (and I make my bracelets pretty big) but I just like to have more than needed just in case my knots come out bigger/thicker than usual.
