Hey everyone 🌞 So I bought some second hand yarn but oc I didn’t check if they were a smoking household first. Unfortunately that yarn has a really strong cigarette smell to it. However, I don’t just want to throw it out, but I‘m not quite sure how to get rid of the smell. I assume just popping it into the washing mashine would leave some damage (tell me in case I‘m wrong tho). I also thought about hanging it outside to kinda let it air out. But maybe some of you have dealt with that (or something simular) before & can share your experiences (or just any good ideas you might have haha). Anyways, thank you in advance 🤍 |

I have not had this issue yet, but here is a wikihow article on removing cigarette smell from clothes: https://www.wikihow.life/Get-Cigarette-Smell-out-of-Clothes It should work the same for embroidery floss. The only difference is that I would recommend handwashing it to avoid tangles or maybe even waiting until you have a finished bracelet until you wash it. The methods or steps that don't include washing might be more useful. |

I am not sure if this would work but maybe just make the bracelet with the yarn and wash the bracelet |
