What are some alpha patterns that use up scrap thread?

Other than the rag rug, what are some alpha patterns that have are good for using scrap thread? By that I mean do you know any alpha patterns that have some colors that only have a few knots?

usually patterns that have people in them. like the kind with small versions of like musical or tv characters.

Technically any alpha that has small sections of one color (like planets, small flowers, small hearts, small other shapes, etc.) and if you got more of the exact same color, maybe for a smaller shape next to a bigger shape (as an example: a dripping popsicle, a falling feather behind a bird, snowflakes over snow covered floor, etc. and so on)

Masha knots has a tutorial on the 'Rainbow Bracelet' and also the 'Shaped Rainbow Bracelet'. Both of these are alphas that use up any scrap thread you might have, they can be made in whatever colours you want. I try to bring them in wherever possible. Have only two dots of a colour you're using on the other side of the bracelet? Use a piece of scrap instead of bringing the leading string all the way over to the other side.For example #45123, row 50, 64/65, 66 and 87 all have tiny spots on the other side of the bracelet, where you can easily use up a bit of scrap. At least if you're doing a pattern using colours you have scrap of and don't just wanna get rid of independant scrap strings.. |
