The materials of string Will cause knotting more difficult ?

Because the string what I use is made from japan(100% cotton). Not like the most tutorials video they used, is made from Europe(France).I feel japan's string is dry;Europe's is more smoothly. Every time I tighten, I have to exert a lot of strength(alpha pattern). And that usually cause my fingers a little bit uncomfortable🙁. Should I change the string or it is just depend on person. i would say that you could actually loosen ur alpha knots. you might find that they’re straighter. if it’s dry though, it might be more difficult to work w because i could have a tendency to snap. i would personally switch because i like to work with regular embroidery floss that’s more soft, but if u can find a way that works w u, then i don’t see why u would change. it does kinda differ from each person since ik others like to use craft cord stuff but i’m not rly into it. so ig a little bit of both
