Hi! I use the straight edge technique + the flat alpha technique and absolutely love them!!! Lately I’ve notice when making alpha bracelets, my f/b and b/f edge knots are honestly a bit wonky. I’m having a little bit of trouble understanding why at the moment, because my alpha keychains come out pretty perfectly!!!! My bracelets on the other hand- …… 🥲. I understand that tension is pretty important, and yes, I did go back and watch MashaKnots Basic Knots Tutorial to try and figure out if I was doing something wrong; but currently it’s to no avail. Does anyone have any idea of what I can do to try and fix this? I can feel myself slipping into a bracelet slump and I really don’t want to be in one at the moment! Thank you in advance for any help provided 🤍🤍🤍

Could it have to do with the longer length of the bracelets (compared to keychains)? In case you don't do this, yet, you could try to tape your bracelet down a second (and maybe even a third) time somewhere further down as it gets longer. So it lies more stable instead of moving around as you move your strings.

Maybe try starting your bracelets in a different way. It’s usually easier for me to keep my edges straight when I start on a flat edge (like a wooden dowel or d-ring). I’m not sure how you could start your bracelet with a completely flat edge, but that’s all I could think of

@oceanknot you are always a total life-saver!!! thanks so much for the advice!!!! I might try to start one on a slip knot over a piece of thread for a straight edge??? as you suggested- my wall hangings + key rings are great, but it always happens to my bracelets!!! I greatly appreciate all of the help you always give me- you are the best!🤍🤍🤍
