if you really want to splurge go for alizie yarn or pick a sparkly thread. i prefer alizie yarn since its softer than most sparkly threads, but dmc has nice sparkly thread as well.

DMC is probably the best however I’ve never tried loops and threads but I’ve heard it’s great 😊

I agree that DMC is wonderful and think it's probably worth the expense. It's got a glossy sheen that enables the color to "pop." I researched the company online and saw that it's based on Mulhouse, in Alsace-Lorraine, France, close to where I studied as an exchange student in college. I wasn't involved with bracelets way back then, but if I ever return to France I'd be very curious to visit the plant. Can you imagine the company store?

Dmc is my fave but I would go cheap and get a pack of 150 from Amazon for about $13 to $15 it’s not as good as dmc ( I find it snags a bit when pulling tight) but it’s definitely worth the money
