I myself don’t have any experience but I have seen the work of some who do it and from what I have seen is that there are 2 methods one is like tie-dye. You lay down the string on tin foil and pour the color over it in a design you want and then let it soak for a bit and then transfer it onto another flat container with a cloth on the bottom of the string to soak up excess liquid and then I think it’s put to dry or washed but I’m not too sure about that. Then the other method I have seen is using ice and laying down the thread on a bowl and putting the ice over the thread and putting small amounts of procion colorfast dyes over the ice and then allowing it to melt that way it colors the thread. After that I think it’s put to air dry as well but I’m not too sure once again.

@Vivi07 I get mine from Amazon. I've had good luck the Doodlehog Tie Dye Party Kit. I feel like it is pretty good quality for a low price, and comes with the supplies you need. 🙂
