twisted ties but i'd love to try some others! There is a tutorial on @pattncraft 's yt channel for 8 (i think) ways to make ties for your bracelets! I found this video very helpful ❤️

It depends on the bracelet for me, but I think Fishtail braids look really cool!

@PineGirl creating twisted ties is very easy and can be done in 3 steps!Step 1: Separate your thread into groups (I do 4 groups to make 2 twisted ties, but you could also just do 2 groups to make 1 twisted tie) If you have an odd number of threads it's alright if there's a group with 1 more string than the rest, you won't be able to tell the difference in the end Step 2: Tightly twist each of the groups of thread going in the same direction (left or right, whichever you prefer) Step 3: Take 2 groups and wrap them around each other in the opposite direction that you twisted in the 2nd step (if you twisted to the left in step 2 then wrap to the right in step 3, and vise versa) What I do with my groups of string when I'm doing step 2 is after I tightly twist the thread together, I tape it to my desk to keep it from untwisting. It really makes it easier for step 3. I hope you found this helpful and clear to understand🙂 |

I like wearing my bracelets. I like the look of twisted ends but I don’t like wearing bracelets with tails. I prefer a loop beginning and ending with a button and triangle end. Or metal crimp ends.

@PineGirl the twisted tie method is originally called “cordage” and is often used to make natural rope out of grass or other plant materials. If you google or YouTube “cordage” you can probably find some good tutorials

When I have enough string, I like to do a 4-strand round braid. They're super pretty and hold together well even if the knot at the end comes untied, but they're really easy to mess up, so you have to focus.
