How do you store your thread? Do you have any good organization ideas? 🤔 I just have thread ALL OVER my room, and I dont really have a good way to store it.

I got floss bobbins and storage containers and I wrapped all of my thread onto the bobbins and put it into the containers. It took a while but it's was so worth it!

I have everything in cardboard boxes from a 1$ store (with Winnie the Pooh on the cover ^^) . The boxes are as broad as the length of embroidery skeins, so everything looks quite neat. When I make alphas, I just take the whole skein, unwind a bit of yarn and then make a big knot with the rest of the skein to secure it. When the yarn gets short, I open the knot, unwind a little more yarn, secure the rest with a knot and continue knotting. In the end I just put those paper rings back on the skein and put everyting back in the cardboard box. No snippets (at least not as long as I make alphas), the skeins still look good and I've saved a lot of time. Once I got a few bobbins for free, tried them and ... personally I'm way too lazy to use them. 🙈 😄

I have a shoe box that I keep it in and I just wrapped all of my string on cardboard snippets. I don’t love it but it’s better than having it all tangled. When stores open up again in Ontario (hopefully tmrw!!) than I might get a tackle box (yes, like the thing you keep fishing supplies in) and keep my stuff in there because I feel like it would be a lot more organized…..
