I saw these on the michaels site, and they look so pretty... they look good for bracelets but I'm not so sure... have any of you guys tried them?

i really like seed beads but depending on how small the bead is it gets super hard to get the string through

You definitely have to check the bead sizing to see what kind of projects you can make with seed beads! I've seen sizes range from 6/0 (a bigger bead size usually with 1mm holes in the middle) to 8/0, to 11/0 (I use these for bead-loom bracelets), to 15/0 (EXTRA TINY). The smaller the number, the bigger the bead.I'm not sure what size could work with the typical strings we use for friendship bracelets. You should check out the size 6/0 or size 8/0 in stores to see if they're the right size for something you want to make. I know it can be done, I've seen quite a few bracelets that had some pretty beaded accents. If you've seen what a broken chevron bracelet looks like, I've seen an example of that where instead of the mini Chinese staircases that come after the chevron section, people have strung up beads there instead. It was super cool 👍 ...And of course, if you're willing to pick up yet another bracelet hobby, I'd recommend learning how to use a bead loom in case you want to have a full beaded piece. It's a little tedious but the results are worth it! |
