Do any of y'all have tips for making bracelet photos look better? It's been hard for me to frame them in a way that isn't awkward. Also do you guys have a set way of picking a background? Like a sweater, pillow, table, etc that you know photographs well? I feel like mine always look better in person than in pics. I started editing them a little so there's more contrast and less wash-out of the pattern.

Personally I like when there's a *little* decoration (fitting in colour and theme) around the bracelet, either actual items or digital stickers. A giant cherry tree in bloom for example really is beautiful by itself, but it takes away the attention from the bracelet as there's so much tree and just so little bracelet. You could follow all the new uploaded pictures for a week or two and think about them: What do you like about this one and why's that one not that appealing? For sure you'll find your way to arrange bracelets quite soon. Besides that, who knows, maybe you'll discover a few really nice bracelets that you want to make yourself? 🙂...said by someone who has used only copy paper and kitchen counter as background this far. 🙈 |

I would suggest using a white background and adding “props” to your photos to make them more fun. For example, markers, erasers, stickers, etc.

I like to take my pictures outside with grass or nature as a background but nothing too distracting

my bro says puttin things next to the bracelet that match the color scheme helps. he also sometimes puts on small filters, not a lot but like stuff to make certain colors pop out. i don’t take my pictures but that’s what he said. hope that helps

I am a former art youtuber so I have ring lights, so when I'm taking pictures I use them, but you can also use the sun as a natural ring light. If your using a phone/tablet use a soft cloth to clean your camera. In daily use we commonly touch our camera with our fingers, which have natural oils on them and can make the image look blurry, so cleaning them can help a lot. I also sharpen my images, which as the name suggests it sharpens my picture and you can see each knot a hole lot more afterwards.

I found that using natural light helps ALOT. I've done a number of different backgrounds (cork board, bracelet box, etc) but my favorite so far is using color swatches that I got from home depot. I have around 15 different colors and for each photo I use 3-4 colors that match the bracelet/keychain for the background. If you want to see examples I have a number of photos I have on my braceletbook and my insta (elliesbraceletco)
