You can find wooden dowels on Amazon or your local craft store. If you plan on making wall hangings on the smaller size (like around 30 strings), I actually think cake pop sticks work well since they’re a lot shorter than wooden dowels. If you’re using wooden dowels, you’ll most likely need to cut it and file the edges with a nail filer since they’re really long

For wall hangings, instead of using the wooden dowels I use kabob skewers! It’s a little strange but it’s cheaper and you can always sand off or cut off the sharper end. They don’t have a ton of variety in sizes but they’re sturdy and do the job! Hope this helps you! 💕

Dolllar store! Or usually in Walmart’s they have a craft section with some good dowels in diff sizes (at least for my Walmart) and honestly any craft store but try checking the first two online or in person beciase it’s usually cheaper there!

I always thought the wall hangings had to be small so in my mind I always pictured people using toothpicks lol creating something that complicated has been beyond me 😅
