General rule of thumb, people won't think twice about shelling out up to 20 bucks, so I usually shoot for 10-15, depending on how much time it took me. Minimum wage in Alaska is 7.75, so figure how many hours you have into it, and how much profit you want to make.

I planned to sell mine depending on how much string and how many colours it used. If it used 3 colours, I would sell it for AU$3-$4. If it used 4 colours but took a long time to make, I'd sell it for about $5.Hope you fing this helpful🙂 |

Here are some ideas, but I generally go off inches of string, ten divide by two, and count over 2 places and put a decimal general I round off. For example a bracelet with 120 inches of string I would sell for $1 or a little more (.60 for string cost and .40 for time put into it) but that is just my way. Here is another way to price: -Peruvian Wave- $2 to $3 (depending on # of strings) -Candy Stripe- $1 to $2 (depending on # of strings) -Chinese Staircase- $.50 to $1 (depending on length and # of strings) -Braid- $.50 to $1 (depending on length) -Fishtail Braid- $1 -Chevron Broken Ladder- $2 -Plaid w/ 2 colors- $1.50 to $2 (depending on length) -Small Alpha- $5 (letter patterns only) I don't know what a wheel pattern is and I've never sold a alpha over 9 strings wide. Hope this helped! Please feel free to message me about more bracelet prices!🙂 |

Here's how I do it, and it's much cheaper than the ones you're seeing now that are loosely tied and made in a factory (I keep one of those to show people the difference). If a bracelet uses 10 strings I will see it for five dollars. 12 for 6 14 for 7 and then you get to 20+ it's half the strings plus five for effort.

What I have been working on is using algebraic equations based on the dimensions and number of colors for an alpha and the number of strings and colors for normal patterns. The formulas I am currently using ( but still adjusting ) is:Alpha patterns formula .2(h)+.3(v)+c=p h- horizontal (rows) v- vertical (strings) c- colors p- price Normal patterns formula 1.2(v)+c=p v- vertical (strings) c- colors p- price So a alpha pattern such as #12501 has 20 strings, 2 colors, and the dimensions of 19x19. this took me about 3.5 hours to tie it all up, Im slow haha. The alpha formula would price this at about $11.80. .2(19)+.3(19)+2=11.80 I havent ever made a Peruvian wave, or some of the others but you could play around with the normal formula maybe based on the number of strings, colors and then add a couple of dollars for that pattern type? Sorry If this is complicated, Im a college student and love math! |

I charge regular bracelets at 25 cents a string. Alphas are 35 cents a string, plus 25 cents for each color beyond the first two. Works for me! It's a good, standard system.
