I usually use clear packaging tape, but if u don’t have a strong tape then you can tie a piece of scrap thread to the clip part using a larkshead knot, and then tape that down with washi tape or scotch tape (:

I use a brand called Duck Tape and it comes in a bunch of colors and patterns, so your tape can get a bit crazy lol. But I basically take small strips of it and secure the d-ring down

If ur taping them down pls remember to do mainly the d ring part leaving some room for the bass strings. I noticed that when you do just the top lobster hook the d ring comes loose. I hope that’s helpful🤷🏾♀️

This is maybe gonna sound silly but if you don’t want the stickiness that can come from tape or you pull too hard for tape or a clip, you can use safety pins on a pillow. Like one on each side to keep it centered.

I use strong tape and put it on both sides of the D if that makes sense

Tape, worked quite well this far as long as I don't pull too hard on the strings.
