hello! this happened to me until recently. to stop threads poking out at the sides, you will need to stop using the flat alpha technique and switch like normal. this was hard for me at first because i learned how to make alphas with the flat alpha technique, so it was very confusing. alexs innovations has a video on this! ❤️

You have to use the straight edges technique as well

@sadnymph Could you give the link for the video? I too have the same problem and sometimes resort to colouring in the string poking out with a marker 🙈 😂
