How do I get my alphas edges straight????

I use the plat alpha method and on the edges when I switch stings its sooooo confusing any help 😭????

When using the flat alpha technique and you get to changing colours on the edges, you make the change slightly differently. You tuck the colour you just knotted with under the last base string (essentially doing a regular colour switch if you are familiar with that) and make your knot on the edge with the new colour that you are bringing in.
