Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to keep a normal keychain flat? mine tend to curl when I'm finished with them. I don't have a problem with alpha keychains because of the use of base strings but that's not the case with my normal ones. I know some people use a flat iron to straighten them, but I was wondering if there were any other tips or tricks? Thanks!

I haven't made many normal keychains, but I know what you're talking about... maybe try playing around with different knot tension to see if that makes a difference? You can also try to secure/flatten the bracelet with tape while you are knotting, so it doesn't curl up as much. Hope this helps!

i had the same problem and I think it's because of the way you knot. I mean I was used to knot in triangle (not line by lines), espacially at the end to give the keychain a shape. I notice that since i knot line by line It doesn't curl anymore (hum I should say it curls less)Maybe you can try that too i hope I helped you ๐ If you try it, tell me the result ๐ |
