Hi so I’m making my dad this like surprise wallhanging of my grandma but the wooden dowel is too long and when I started making it, it got off center. How can I cut the extra wood off without making it look bad?

So I would recommend cutting the dowel and then once you have both sides then use an old nail filer or some kind of sandpaper and file it so that it does not hurt anyone!

I usually use scissors. But I have to be careful because the wood is stronger than the scissors so sometimes it does not work which is dangerous. But I think that if you kind of saw it with the scissors then it might be safe. 🙂.

I sanded down mine with a file, clean off the dust and it looks perfect! use a less harsh file near the end to make it look better
