Even when I use the straight edges technique on alphas, the inside still curves down. Any tips?

Make sure that when using the straight edges technique that you are making TWO bf or fb knots right after each other because you are replacing both the first and the last knot of each row which means you need to make two knots, not just one.

What could also be helpful is using the flat alpha technique. You might already be using it.

Also make sure to not pull the loose leading strings in the back too tight.

If you knot relatively tightly I recommend trying to knot a little looser.

Make sure you are doing these:
-Even tensions in all knots
-Colorswitching knots are same tightness as others
-Even string sizes
-Flat alpha technique
