Hey! Can someone please give me some tips for making alpha bracelets? (excluding using the straight edges and flat alpha techniques because I already do) Tips for knot tension (tightness or looseness) are very much needed!! ❤️ ❤️ |

I still need to work on my knot tension but I heard to make the first knot tight and the second one loose because the second one is just the one that secures it.

For the straight edges you will have to do forward and backward knot on the sides of each.Example if your gonna end the row that I’m on in a alpha bracelet in the left do a foreword backward and then another forward backward, Example if your doing it on the right do a forward backward and then forward backward again so 2 knots or each on each end to get a straight edge alpha. Hope it helps sorry is so long

make sure your alpha is secured tightly so that when you're pulling the strings it doesn't move around

When doing the color switch, do NOT pull hard. Make your knot tight, but don't tug on the string—this will cause your bracelet to be bumpy and wavy. If you find that you made the knot and pulled too hard, don't worry. You don't have to untie it. Just take scissors and cut the string from the back later. This should help. |

This may sound weird, but when inserting a new string, do a forward backward knot or backward forward knot. I found this trick on accident, but I think it's really really helpful. Another thing you can use this trick on is with alpha patterns with one knot of a color, then a string switch. I found before when I didn't use this trick my knots would be hidden but after I started using it they would be more visible. An example of this because the way I worded it may be confusing is in pattern #24109. On the orange dots on the blue dinosaur would be fb and bf knots. Also, when doing a row of forward knots you would do backward forward and backward knots forward backward. Let me know if this helps!
