When I start a alpha bracelet I normally do the triangle starts and ends. I’ve always managed to get it done but with a struggle. I use a clipboard but I can’t clip down the strings because they’ll just slide and tape works but eventually it’ll slide too.

Hi! I use a clipboard too and I pull the strings through the clip and around to the back of the board and then tape the strings to the back. That way it’s double secured! I have a YouTube video on alpha bracelets that show it too (:

I knot the strings together (both base strings and the background string), making sure to leave enough string for the ties and making sure it's not too tight so I can untie it later. I clip down the knot and begin with the triangle start.

I usually leave a bit of space at the top and make a loose knot likeeeee really loose and then when i start and make enough progress til that its secure i then just unknot it and then either make a loop of a type braid

i’ll either use a mason jar (i’ll secure the base strings under the lid, leaving enough on the end for twisted ties, then start the bracelet with triangle ends) or tape, in the case where i don’t want to use triangle ends to start, like with a rag rug bracelet 🍒🛹🧃

@jadeflwr13 thank you! That’s really creative, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind.

I either use a binder clip or duct tape depending on the size of the bracelet I don’t really use a clipboard though because I found that the top kept slipping off

I use a clipboard. But sometimes what I do is I tape it down then put something heavy on the tape and it usually doesn’t slide out.
