What size do you use most people say 3 but my local store only has multicolored in 10?

I’m pretty sure size 5 is closest to embroidery floss. I’ve heard size 3 is a little thicker, and I know size 10 is way thinner, so I’m pretty sure size 5 is the right one

Size 10 is pretty thin and i would not recommend putting it with normal embroidery floss, but it works perfectly fine as base strings or with other size 10 strings. Size 3 is a little thick, but I’d say it’s closer to the thickness of a normal string. I plan on using it for base strings because it won’t break as easily. If there is a size 5, that would definitely be pretty close to normal floss size. The multicolored floss might work with normal string, but only if you use really loose knots and don’t expect it to be perfectly straight.
