They are not the same ๐ hover your mouse over the knots and strings, you can see the lenght or each string separately, the knot indtructions are on every knot.. Etc.

If they're going to change the complete look of the alpha patterns on the site I think they should have the option to switch between the two or just have both showing in the iOS app. I tend to use that more often than the site and I find it really annoying that the new ones are the only option in the app.

At first I was confused on the new alphas, but now once I've figured them out I think I can make a lot more patterns and that they will help me a lot! Even if u aren't a beginner, I think it's an easy way to make sure u know what u r doing!

Also you are able to make empty knots (hollow bracelets) in alpha generator too! ๐ ITs not just the look of the pattern thats changes, an d you will have the preview in the app very soon ๐

I've been using this site for a couple months and I loved it! The old alpha patterns were way way better! I can't stand the new ones! They are hard to read and I get mixed up because I cant see the whole bracelet. It makes me loose track of where I am.๐ It's already messed a couple of my bracelets u. It's really annoying. I want the old grid back!

The grid is available on the web, and admin is working on the app update so you can see both patterns and previews ๐

I personally like the new way to view alpha patterns because it shows you the way the strings move through the bracelet. As well as the being able to hover over a string for normal patterns in the generator and seeing the string by itself. And the zero knot option is really fun!๐

I really, really, REALLY don't like the new alpha patterns! They're so confusing and hard to follow! I tried to use the old method to make an alpha, and it turned terribly. PLEASE CHANGE

I don't mind the new look for alphas, but I do prefer the old ones. I think the new version is good for more intermediate and advanced bracelet-makers, and the old ones are good for beginners, but that's my opinion

The new alphas are for beginners who don't know how the strings work but it's really hard when you're making a 25x100 bracelet and u already knew how to use the old ones....

I'm a beginner with alphas... But... The new design makes my head hurt. I think it's a great idea... But it's just too busy, and makes me dizzy... I'd rather learn with the grid thingy

True it's easy for thin ones but not wide ones

An update for the iOS app is now live @ the appstore, reflecting server-side changes about the generators. In other words there are now both the old and the new type of images for all patterns in the app ๐
