How do I know how many colors of each color

My question is when I make an alpha pattern from a font or from drawing an alpha pattern, how do I know how many colors of each color to use and how do I know which way to tie the knots of the pattern considering there are no directions like there is when you find a normal pattern. (I am not really new to making friendship bracelets but I am new to a lot of patterns and alpha) I would really like to make personal and custom bracelets with initials and whatever else. I just really can't figure this out. I'm sorry if there is already a post done about this and if there is please link me to it! Thanks... |

If you check out the tutorials and still feel confused about alphas feel free to message me and I can help you figure out the colours and strings for the alpha you want. I am by no means an expert but I have completed a couple of large-ish alphas before and could help you get started on figuring out the string coordination ๐

uggh!!! when i try to delete a color after my at terns been declined it just adds another white and then it won't let me post it for simalair colors and i cant delete it!!!!!!!!|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ|๐ฒ
