Hello ๐ for people who make alpha patterns, do you try to think about how it would be knotted, or do you basically just do pixel art ? When making a normal pattern, I try to make the knots follow a diagonal for example. Are there good practices like that for alphas ?

Yes, I think it should be considered when designing alpha patterns. Some people design patterns where you need to make a colour switch for every knot. This would be very uncomfortable to knot. But we also have to consider that other techniques apart from tied bracelets can be used for alphas. If you do perler beads or bead loom, lots of colour switches won't be an issue. I still think that if you use so many colour switches in your patter, there should be a good reason for it, because tied alpha bracelets are what most people do and what the patterns are originally intended for. |

Avoid using an unnecessarily high amount of different colours and make sure that the colours can be clearly told apart.

Hello my alpha strings are all the same size however when my design on my alpha starts, my edges go like in a wave form and stay that way. I tried pulling harder on the strings but I just don't know how to keep my alpha bracelet completely straight. I even do the straight edge technique but, it's still wavy from the sides. Is there a way to fix it so that the edges are completely straight, and don't turn wavy when my alpha design comes in?
