lanyards with alphas

Hi, I’m wanting to make a long lanyard with an alpha patter but I don’t know how to connect the end of the pattern to the keychain. To start the pattern I will loop the base strings onto a square keychain/clip piece and I would like to attach the end of the pattern to the other keychain/clip connected to the starting clip (hopefully this makes sense). Is there a way to do this? Or does anyone have suggestions for lanyards/how to end lanyards? |

maybe you could do something like the closed bracelet tutorial?
